Who Are the Associates?

[History] [Association Process] [Process of Association] [Vocations]

Associates are women and men who believe that their own life and their response to Jesus can be enriched by sharing with the Sisters in the spirit of Francis of Assisi and Magdalen Damen.  They belong to a local Associate community which gathers once a month with their conveners.  The convener acts as liaison between the Associate and the larger Province community.

The sharing which takes place between Sisters and Associates is the primary source of mutual support, faith sharing, and growth in the charism of Francis and Magdalen.  Its purpose is to foster a deeper respons to the Gospel way of life.

Commissioned Associates can be found in Florida, New York, Ohio and West Virginia.  They serve in parishes, in diocesan ministries, and in the marketplace.  They are women and men, married and single, from diverse ethnic backgrounds which reflect the multicultural Church of the new millennium.
